The Glasgow Institute of Architects invites students to see what a construction site looks like first hand at the McLellan Works by Stallan Brand and AKP. The visit will consist of a site induction, an explanation of the architectural ideas behind the project by the architect, key challenges during the technical design and construction phases and how these issues have been resolved through collaboration with the contractor.

Photographs may be taken for PR purposes. If you do not want to be in a photograph please let us know in advance or on the day.

This event is strictly limited to 20 spaces. Admittance is only with registration, a valid student matriculation card and correct protective clothing / equipment (to comply with site insurance requirements). Vests and hard-hats will be provided however please bring your own site boots. If you don’t have any, please get in contact in advance as we only have a limited number and sizes. These will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. The meeting point will be at the entrance on Sauchiehall Street at 14:00.
